Dear HLF Friends & Customers,

Let me start by saying that the following announcement is neither sad nor happy news, but rather just the next step in our journey. I believe the Lord has something big in store for us!

At the end of this year, we will be closing the Happy Little Flame store and Creative Studio, moving out of our space at 247 & 249 Peterson Road in Libertyville. For several reasons, this space is no longer viable for us, and it is clear that taking a step back to re-evaluate our plan is necessary. For the time being, our operations will move to a small private space in Mundelein where Elisabeth and I will continue production and fulfillment.

I must emphasize that we ARE NOT closing or going out of business!!!

Happy Little Flame will continue growing and serving our community through our online store, pop-ups, fundraisers, and wholesale partnerships with boutiques and small businesses, and we plan to be a part of more local markets and maker events this year as well (woo hoo!!!). We will be moving forward with our complete redesign/rebrand, as planned, in January 2025!

The Creative Studio will also continue growing through on-location classes, workshops, and private parties. We hope to partner with local small businesses to host events in various locations throughout Lake County while we make plans to open a new location that can better accommodate our guests and elevate the overall brand experience.

During these last few weeks in our Libertyville location we will continue business as usual, and you will not see any notable changes in the store or the studio other than an increase in production/inventory to ensure we are WELL stocked for the holidays! We will not begin packing until after Christmas so that we can offer the same great level of service and experience right up to our last day. The store will be open and we will be booking private parties in the studio through December 24th.

For those of you who live out of state and only order from us online, you will see no changes at all!

I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support and encouragement over the years, and for your help in growing and building this business from the ground up. Having the store and studio has been such a blessing and has (more recently) brought so much clarity to what is next for us!

I’d like to invite you to think of us when doing your holiday shopping this year, and to visit the store and studio whether through walk-in hours, special events, or private party bookings throughout the month of December. A successful end to the year is imperative for our next steps, and will only bring us closer to the opening of a newer/refreshed concept next year!
